The Challenge: High-Quality Curriculum Options for a Flexible Learning Model

Strike school statistics

Strike School is a private, online learning option for Kindergarten-12th grade students. Based in Oregon, the school supports students across eight states. Founded in 2021, amid the COVID-19 pandemic and a national increase in demand for online learning options—Strike School needed an effective digital curriculum that worked for a diverse range of age groups. And a solution-focused education partner, like FlexPoint, that would support their mission to empower students and families to have a choice in how, and where, they want to learn.

The Solution: Customizable Online Curriculum to Support Students, Families

FlexPoint licensed its award-winning digital curriculum and provided a seamless experience for dozens of students enrolled in the Strike School. FlexPoint’s customizable curriculum enabled the school to create a unique online learning environment that directly aligns with a student’s individual path.

In addition to the online learning curriculum provided by FlexPoint, Strike School supports its choice driven model through on-demand and live sessions with learning coaches (who are state-certified teachers), and virtual classrooms with time to collaborate with classmates.

Since courses are ready-to-go and customizable to state standards, Strike School can support students and families across the nation in a way that is tailored to how they learn best. “Having the FlexPoint curriculum available for all of our students is a cornerstone for our program,” says Shahla Lodhie, Director of Enrollment and Co-Founder at Strike School.

Course progress and mastery are monitored via FlexPoint’s licensed learning management system (LMS)—providing students, parents, and learning coaches with valuable updates. The experience is highly collaborative to ensure each child’s learning needs are met and every student finds their own path to success.

Strike School is working with Cognia as a Candidate for Accreditation and is currently expanding to 12th grade, beginning this fall.
