Description

In this course, you'll embark on a journey through United States history, beginning with early North American civilizations and European exploration. You'll investigate the founding of the nation and the challenges of the early republic, followed by the conflicts and growth that defined the country, including the Civil War and Reconstruction. The course continues with America's rise as a global power, examining key events like the World Wars, the Great Depression, the Civil Rights Movement, and the Cold War. You'll also analyze contemporary issues and events that have shaped the modern United States. Throughout the course, you will learn to think critically, analyze primary sources, and understand the many perspectives that have contributed to the American experience.
